Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sgt. John Sheahan says two males and two females were aboard the single-engine Piper Cherokee when it crashed on Clover Field Court early Monday. No one on the ground was injured.
Sheahan says the injured were taken to a hospital with life-threatening burns and trauma.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says the plane took off from the Henderson airport shortly after 8 this morning and was unable to gain altitude. The pilot tried to return to Henderson but crashed.
Henderson is located just south of Las Vegas.
