It happened around 11:30 a.m. at the Citi Financial branch at 4511 Edgemont Avenue.
There are no reported injuries.
Brookhaven Police say the 80-year-old male driver was trying to park his car when he put his foot on the gas instead of the brake.
The view from Chopper 6 HD showed the large window at the front of the bank completely destroyed.
Action News viewer Carol Gunn submitted a photo showing the car entirely in the bank.
Despite the damage, the bank was able to remain open.
