It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of West Ashdale Street.
Heavy fire was showing from the two story dwelling as crews arrived.
Firefighters worked quickly to bring the blaze under control within 15 minutes.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
