Officer Barbara Morgan said Thursday that police took statements Sunday from the unidentified woman and two other people regarding a misdemeanor battery complaint against the 49-year-old rock singer.
Neil wasn't arrested. His lawyer David Chesnoff was unavailable for immediate comment.
There's no indication Neil knew the woman, who didn't report being physically injured.
Neil owns a cantina at the hotel.
