It happened shortly after 9:00 p.m. Thursday in the area of Parkside Avenue and Marlton Avenue.
The man was shot twice and rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was pronounced dead.
At this time, there is no word on a suspect or motive for the shooting.
It appears the man was in a car when he was shot, and a woman was with him. There are no reports of her being injured.
