The steel "trees" will be the centerpiece of a ceremony Saturday in Coatesville, Pa., marking the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Organizer tell The Delaware County Daily Times that the ceremony will include the ringing of bells commemorating the morning of Sept. 11, 2001.
Forged in 1969 by Lukens Steel Co., the steel supports framed the perimeter of the twin towers' first nine floors and massive lobbies.
A caravan of tractor-trailers returned the 500 tons of steel to Coatesville in April.
