Patrol car crashes during police chase

PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. - September 12, 2010

At around 6:45 p.m., Atlantic City police were in pursuit of a vehicle reportedly for a carjacking.

The pursuit led out of Atlantic City on route 30 into Pleasantville then into the Marina Delray complex.

The chase left the roadway onto a grass courtyard.

The officer lost control and hit a townhome.

The suspects kept on going between buildings before hitting some parked cars.

The two men inside the vehicle fled on foot and were later caught by Atlantic City police.

There is no word on the extent of injuries to the officer.
