So the book is a little overdue

WINONA, Minn. (AP) - September 13, 2010

Librarians at the Winona, Minnesota, Public Library are thrilled to get back a book that was checked out some 35 years ago.

It's called "Small Voices: A Grownup's Treasury of Selections from the Diaries, Journals and Notebooks of Young Children."

It's a collection of journal entries prominent public figures had written as kids.

Someone left it in the library's drop-box as part of Amnesty Week for overdue books.

The Winona Daily News reports the fine would have been more than $1,400.
