Double-murder defendant on trial in Pa. shooting

NORRISTOWN, Pa. - September 15, 2010

Nineteen-year-old Khailyl Chambers of Lansdale is charged with attempted murder and assault in the October shooting in Norristown.

The Times Herald of Norristown says a witness on Tuesday named Chambers as the shooter and denied defense attorney Kate Kelly's suggestion that he earned leniency in a drug case by cooperating with prosecutors.

Chambers is also accused in a separate case of killing two people outside Norristown's Roo House Tavern in June 2009 the avenge the death of a cousin who died in a motorcycle crash. That trial is tentatively set for April.
