Police found two people shot on the 4800 block of Tackawanna Street in Northeast Philadelphia shortly before midnight.
One person, a 22-year-old man, died at the scene.
A 26-year-old man is in critical condition at Temple University Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.
No arrests have been made.
