The chase began shortly before 10:00 p.m. in Chester where the pickup truck was stopped by Chester City Police responding to a report of shots fired in Chester Park.
The driver of the vehicle took off with Chester Police in pursuit into Delaware.
The pursuit ended when the truck collided with an unmarked police cruiser. Both vehicles came to rest in the grassy median.
It's not clear what the occupants of the truck were being sought for and so far there are no reports of injuries.
