State officials say the state's 32 libraries will share a $1.9 million federal stimulus grant from the U.S. Commerce Department's Broadband Technology Opportunities Program.
The libraries will also receive $900,000 from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
The money will be used to create specialized computer centers in four libraries to improve workforce skills, help with job searches and provide adult education. Those services also will be delivered electronically to all libraries.
