Officers responded to the Margaret Oxford Station at about midnight Sunday.
Police say a man in his 20's was attacked, but managed to ride the El southbound to the Allegheny stop, on the 3200 block of Kensington Avenue.
Police tell Action News that the injuries the man sustained were relatively minor.
The 28-year-old victim was uncooperative with police when they arrived on scene.
The victim has 27 priors.
So far, there is no word on a suspect or motive for the attack.
