It happened in the 3200 block of Lester Road.
Police say intruder knocked on the door, and an Asian female answered the door.
The intruder assaulted her then took $8,000 from the home, police said.
There is no word yet on the identity of the suspect.
The victim refused medical treatment.
Investigators say she may have been sexually assaulted.
