56-year-old Joanne Howard was arrested Sunday and charged with Murder First Degree and Possession of a Deadly Weapon during the commission of a Felony.
The charges stem from an alleged domestic dispute on Saturday, which turned deadly.
Officers were called out at approximately 11:07 p.m. Saturday for a medical emergency at an apartment building located on the 2800 block of N. Tatnall Street.
Police had to force their way into the apartment, where they found a man, unresponsive, having suffered two stab wounds - one wound to the upper leg and one wound to the throat.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Howard, who was at the scene when officers arrived, was taken into custody.
The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of the family.
