Authorities in Upper Macungie Township say 38-year-old Newark, N.J., resident Alontercilio Rodrigues was on a ladder painting the high-tension pole when he fell shortly after 3 p.m. Monday.
The Morning Call of Allentown reports police say at least three people were painting with Rodrigues when he fell, but there are no signs of foul play.
Investigators say Rodrigues was doing work for a maintenance company that had been subcontracted by the power company PPL.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is among the agencies investigating the accident.
