2 hit by car critically injured, 2 others arrested

Two people are seriously injured after being hit by a car in Audubon, Montgomery County.

The accident happened at around 2:30 p.m. Saturday on the 600 block of Mill Grove Drive.

Police say a man was walking with his wife after returning from the grocery store at the time of the incident.

The man, carrying groceries, was struck by the vehicle and thrown through the air.

He remains in critical condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

An unidentified male, sitting on the porch reading, was also struck by the out of control car and is in serious condition at a local hospital.

The two occupants of the vehicle fled on foot, but were apprehended by police a short distance away.

The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
