College junior Chelsea Roose hopes to unseat 89-year-old Elma Konya as trustee of Marshall County's North Township.
But Roose says she doesn't want to make the election about age.
The 20-year-old Republican says she thinks "people are ready for a change."
Konya, the Democratic incumbent, has been in office for four decades.
She still keeps the township's financial records on paper and takes pride in their accuracy.
