It happened shortly after 10:00 a.m. at Martin Luther King Blvd. and Maryland Avenue.
A 28-year-old female passenger in one of the cars was trapped for about 20 minutes before being freed by firefighters.
She was taken to the hospital for possible chest and abdominal injuries.
While the cause of the crash is under investigation, authorities did not believe the wet weather was a factor.
