Gunfire rang out around 2:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Pratt Street in front of the Thriftway Grocery Store.
A male in his 20's was struck multiple times in the head, back and stomach outside on the sidewalk. The second victim was a female he was walking with. She was shot once in the shoulder.
The male victim was taken by ambulance to Aria Hospital Torresdale Campus where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The female victim was transported to Aria Hospital Frankford Campus where she is listed in stable condition.
So far, police have made no arrests and have not released additional information.
