Will and Kelly Minster of Minster's Jewelers sent out a note to customers this week announcing their decision to close their jewelry store at 218 West 9th Street in Wilmington, Del.
"In this economy it is not possible for us to sustain two stores and we have decided to close our Wilmington location and run a brief Store Closing Sale," the letter explains.
"After moving to 9th Street we had great hopes in revitalizing the area, but unfortunately the economy will not allow us to continue. We have enjoyed offering you superior service and quality and will continue to do so in our Newark store," the owners further explain.
The letter says more than $1,750,000 of fine jewelry, including diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, gold and silver will sold at discounts up to 70%.
Minster's Newark, Del., location will remain open.
