Jennifer Newkirk, 25, of Philadelphia was arrested Monday on outstanding warrants issued out of Lebanon County.
Police say Newkirk was standing along York Road in Upper Moreland when she signaled to a passing police cruiser to pull over. The officer approached Newkirk who then asked for a ride to neighboring Horsham Township.
Upon running a routine background check, the officer discovered Newkirk's outstanding warrant. A small amount of marijuana was later found in her purse, for which she was charged with disorderly conduct.
Newkirk was transported to Montgomery County Prison on the Lebanon County Warrant. There is no word at this time on the details of the warrant.
