South Jersey band wins championship

WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ - November 6, 2010

The band from Gloucester County has captured first place in the U.S. Scholastic Band Association in Annapolis, Maryland.

Williamstown band members took home a huge trophy for their hard work.

"We worked so hard just to get this far, and for us to bring this home is this great thing, it's huge," one band member told Action News. "We've come close, but we've got cut off short, so it's about time," another band member said with a smile.

17 marching bands competed in the competition on Friday night.

Congratulations to Williamstown High School for earning the title.
