Several left homeless due to New Castle fire

NEW CASTLE, Del. - November 6, 2010

The fire was reported at the William Penn Village Apartments at around 2:30 p.m.

Reports say it started on the second floor and spread to the third floor.

About a half a dozen people are left without a home because of smoke and fire damage.

The fire was brought under control within a half hour.

There were no reported injuries, however, fire crews had to rescue several pets from the apartment.
