Three teens arrested for Del. police chase

WILMINGTON, Del. - November 15, 2010

Police say it all began with a hit-and-run crash shortly before 9:00 a.m.

A bulletin went out for a red Jeep Cherokee with heavy front end damage and a missing bumper.

A Wilmington officer spotted the vehicle on Miller Road and tried to pull it over, but the driver fled.

Police say they chased the Jeep for about 10 minutes before breaking off the pursuit. However, officers said they still managed to keep the vehicle in sight.

Then, at about 9:35 a.m., the Jeep struck a car at 11th and Spruce and was finally stopped at 5th and Church.

One officer's finger was broken during the apprehension.
