The Delaware River Port Authority may vote Wednesday on a proposal that would delay toll hikes on the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman, Betsy Ross and Commodore Barry bridges until 2012.
Tolls are scheduled to rise by $1 on July 1, 2011.
For cars, the rate would increase to $5 from $4. Only drivers heading from New Jersey to Pennsylvania must pay.
Some DRPA officials say they don't expect a vote until there's an analysis of what a delay would mean for the authority's bond rating.
PATCO train fares are still scheduled to go up by 10 percent in January.
