Eagles DB Ellis Hobbs leaves field on stretcher

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - November 21, 2010

Hobbs had full movement in his extremities and X-rays were negative.

He gave the thumbs up with both hands as he was carted off. Hobbs, who was down on the field for 11 minutes while players from both teams gathered around him and the crowd fell silent, was hit by the Giants' Dave Tollefson on the play and fumbled. The ball was recovered by the Eagles' Clay Harbor.

Last season, Hobbs, a six-year veteran, missed the final nine games of the season with a neck injury that required surgery.

Eagles defensive end Juqua Parker left the game with a hip injury and was not expected to return.

Parker, who was second on the team in sacks with five, was forced to leave Monday night's win over Washington with the same hip injury. He did not practice Wednesday or Thursday, but returned Friday and was back in the lineup for his 96th consecutive start.

Darryl Tapp replaced Parker at left defensive end.
