Twenty-one-year-old John Cusick could spend up to 12 years in prison for the June 2009 crash that injured officers George Higginson and Richard Hayes.
Cusick pleaded guilty in September to charges including aggravated assault for slamming his truck into the officers' police cruiser while they conducted a traffic stop. Higginson sustained serious facial injuries that required numerous surgeries and Hayes spent six months in a coma.
Authorities estimate Cusick was going 70 mph and under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time.
