SPCA investigates animal cruelty in South Phila.

Agents from the Pennsylvania SPCA are investigating an animal cruelty complaint in South Philadelphia.

Officers found 12 dogs and a cat inside the Supreme Pet Services store on the 2800 block of Wharton Street.

Officials say they were without food and water and roaming inside the building.

The animals were taken to the SPCA for treatment.

Authorities are interviewing the store owner.
