Philadelphia Police say two vehicles collided at the intersection of Summerdale and Devereaux Avenue in the Oxford Circle .
Several people were taken to area hospitals with injuries.
Two children ages 5 and 8 have been transported to St. Christopher's hospital.
A 40-year-old woman was taken to Einstein and a 21-year-old pregnant female was also transported to Einstein hospital.
The extent of the injuries are described as "serious."
The accident remains under investigation.
