The fire was first reported around 7:30 a.m. on the unit block of E. 9th Street.
One woman was rescued from a first floor apartment with burns to her hands.
Another woman, from the second floor, was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, however authorities believe the fire originated in the first floor bedroom.
