The winning Quinto ticket from Dec. 10, 2009, was sold at Jean's in Schuylkill County.
Lottery officials noted Monday that the ticket and prize expire one year from the date of the drawing. That's in less than two weeks.
The ticket correctly matched all five numbers drawn in exact order: 6-6-4-3-1. The prize is $50,000, minus 25 percent in federal taxes.
Expired prizes remain in the lottery fund. They're used to support programs benefiting older Pennsylvanians.
