The victim inside the home along the 5700 block of Osage Avenue in West Philadelphia when the fire started shortly after 5 p.m.
Firefighters found the home, in the middle of a row of homes, with heavy fire on the second floor. They needed roughly 15 minutes to put the fire under control.
The victim was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, but doctors were unable to save her life.
