The Coast Guard rescued a man who fell off a charter fishing boat off the Jersey shore Tuesday.

The Coast Guard says Jim Sager of Point Pleasant went into the water after he was hit by a loose bait box one-half mile east of Mantoloking.

A Coast Guard crew says the 59-year-old was suffering from hypothermia when he was pulled from the water.

He is in stable condition at Ocean Medical Center in Brick Township.
