Officials in Lodi, Calif., are hoping to have better luck with their third tree.
The first tree, a 28-foot white fir, was vandalized last week in a trailer off I-80.
The Lodi News-Sentinel reports the truck was parked overnight and someone chopped off the top.
The branches fell off a second tree while it was being moved.
The Downtown Lodi Business Partnership is now looking for someone to donate a third tree, for a downtown plaza.
