A woman was hit by a SEPTA regional rail train at the Market East Station Monday night.

At around 7:15 p.m., the Philadelphia Fire Department was called out to the scene.

SEPTA officials tell Action News that someone was hit by one of the trains.

SEPTA says it was a rollover accident and the woman ended up under the train.

The firefighters were able to get the woman off of the track and transported her to Hahnemann Hospital with an amputated hand.
