Police: Man found murdered in NJ apartment

WESTVILLE, N.J. - December 7, 2010

The body of 54-year-old Thomas Carbin was found in his apartment at 32 River Road.

According to investigators, Carbin and his daughter had plans to meet. His daughter then found his body at around 1:15 p.m.

Investigators did not say how Carbin was killed.

Police say Carbin's pickup truck was found outside the gate of Ironworker's Local 399 Union Hall at 490 Crown Point Rd., Westville.

Carbin, who lived alone, was an ironworker.

Carbin was last seen alive by an acquaintance who came to his apartment about 8 p.m. Sunday.

An autopsy is planned and more details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
