Police: PennDOT worker drove drunk to crash scene

CHARLEROI, Pa. - December 8, 2010

State transportation officials say 51-year-old Michael Budzanoski resigned after being charged last week with driving under the influence.

Police say Budzanoski was drunk when he arrived at a crash scene in Fallowfield Township, Washington County on November 5 in a PennDOT vehicle. Budzanoski allegedly had a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit for drivers.

PennDOT District Executive Joe Szczur says Budzanoski's primary job is to take photos at crash scenes.

A phone listing for Budzanoski could not immediately be located Wednesday.
