The accident happened just after 5:00 p.m. at Cottman Avenue and Dungan Road.
Police say a 60-year-old man was struck by a 2003 Chevy Impala heading east on Cottman Avenue.
He was taken to Jeans Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
Police questioned the driver and later released him. No charges have been issued pending further investigation.
