Flames broke out along the 2700 block of Curran Street shortly before 7:00 p.m.
The fire affected three homes on the block.
There was a concern over getting ample water on the fire; for that reason, a second alarm was sounded.
It took crews a little more than a half hour to knock the fire down.
There are no reports of injuries.
