Fayette County Judge Steve Leskinen on Thursday rejected arguments about 53-year-old Mark Morrison's alleged mental and medical condition.
At the competency hearing, a prosecution psychiatrist testified Morrison's answers on some tests raised "red flags" that he may be faking, including naming the months of the year as "A, B, C, X and Q."
Morrison's defense psychiatrist also couldn't rule out malingering. Both doctors said Morrison should be carefully monitored in a care facility to determine whether he's really ill.
Morrison's trial will start Jan. 3.
