3 firefighters hospitalized after Frankford blaze

FRANKFORD - December 12, 2010

Flames were first reported around 8:30 a.m. at a three-story home located on the 1100 block of Arrott Street.

Fire department officials tell Action News crews were on the scene within three minutes.

The persistent fire took firefighters about an hour to bring under control.

A 41-year-old male firefighter was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Another firefighter, a 52-year-old male, suffered burns to the ear and neck. Both were said to be in stable condition.

A third firefighter was also injured battling the blaze. No details have been released pertaining to the injuries sustained. However, the injuries of all three firefighters are said to be non-life threatening.

There's no word on what sparked the fire.
