Mrs. Fixit: A Fruity Holiday

December 18,2010

First, the grocery store, fruit has made festive holiday décor for years!

Use a needle and some sturdy thread to make yourself a cranberry garland. It is the perfect accent on any tree.

Those cranberries also make a pretty base for a candle in a glass hurricane.

Use whole cloves to decorate oranges. They smell great and will last right through the season.

You can also dry oranges to make pretty ornaments and potpourri.

Cut an orange into quarter inch slices and lay them on a cookie sheet that is lined with a non-stick foil.

Bake in a two hundred and seventy five degree oven for an hour and then decrease the temp to two fifty and bake for another two hours and let them cool.

These great little slices make a beautiful addition to your décor.

Even simple bowls of friut mixed in with some scented pinecones and maybe some greens can make a beautiful statement! I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple!
