Woman escapes fast-moving Oxford Circle fire

OXFORD CIRCLE - December 19, 2010

The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. Sunday and quickly spread throughout the home before crews could get the upper hand on the blaze.

A 59-year-old woman was able to escape the house fire on her own and was taken by a neighbor into their home. Medics later transported the woman to Aria Hospital-Frankford Division to be treated for smoke inhalation.

There is no word yet on what sparked the blaze.
