The discovery was made Monday morning off of Linden Avenue near State Road in Northeast Philadelphia.
The SUV was spotted by an eagle-eyed jogger, investigators said.
The Philadelphia Marine Unit jumped into action right way to make sure no one was inside the vehicle.
It turned out to be empty.
A short time later police pulled the Lincoln Navigator out of the water.
