AAA estimates that more than 2-million people in the Mid-Atlantic region will travel to their holiday destinations between Christmas and New Years.
So far so good at Philadelphia International. Flights are on time and the lines are not too long. The bulk of the travel this holiday season will be on the roads. AAA estimates 92 million Americans will travel more than 50 miles by car... a million of them here in the Philadelphia region.
Rick Remington of AAA tells us, "Gas prices are actually at a 2-year high right now and this is the first time we've seen $3 gas at Christmas."
Yes, it's the bah humbug of Christmas travel. In fact, prices are up 76-percent from two years ago and holiday travelers are feeling the pinch.
