The transit agency will operate its rail service on an enhanced weekend schedule Tuesday, with trains running less frequently than on a normal weekday. It cited ongoing weather impacts and expected low ridership.
Service was disrupted by the weekend snowstorm that dropped more than 2 feet of snow in some areas of coastal and northern New Jersey.
NJ Transit had said earlier that it did not expect to be able to restore bus service until later Tuesday.
It said it will continue to cross-honor rail and bus tickets until further notice.
