62-year-old Jeffrey Vipond was last seen on Wednesday, December 23rd.
Police say they were notified shortly before 5:00 p.m. on December 24th by a caretaker.
Then, on Tuesday night, police say Vipond called a family member from a homeless shelter in Scranton.
He was taken to an area hospital for evaluation, police said.
There was conceren because Vipond had not taken his medication for several days, police said, and he can become confrontational.
