It happened in Pedricktown at The Body and Fender Shop in the 100 block of Pennsville-Auburn Road.
Firefighters arrived to find fire and heavy smoke conditions.
Firefighters from New Castle County, Delaware were also dispatched to help fight the flames.
There is no word yet on what started the blaze.
