Delaware State Police have arrested a grocery store employee for stealing over $100,000.

Lisa A. Christian, 42, of Dagsboro, Delaware, was charged with 17 counts of theft and 1 count of Filing a False Tax Return for the State of Delaware.

The thefts occurred between October 1, 2008 and April 8, 2010 at Hocker's Grocery and Deli located at RT. 26 Millville Delaware. Delaware State Police after being contacted by a representative of Hocker's Grocery and Deli learned during their investigation that Lisa Christian reportedly stole over $107,000 in that period of time.

Christian, a store employee, was responsible for daily deposits of earnings for the grocery store. Christian is alleged to have added up the totals of the daily deposit then transfer those totals onto a deposit slip. However, police say she would write a lesser amount on the deposit and pocket the difference.

Christian after being charged was released on $18,500 unsecured bond.
